11/11/2014 - Combo


A combo in traditional 2D fighter terminology, a string of attacks that cannot be blocked if the first hit connects. Players tend to be able to land stronger combos when their opponents are forced into the corner because repeatedly hitting an enemy tends to gradually push them away from your reach, however, in the corner there is no more space where for an opponent to be pushed to.

Above is an example of some corner combos, They may seems overly strong at first but each successive attack does less damage in a combo, also it takes a lot of resources built up during a match to achieve strong combos.
